Adding Your Child

Once your Sumdog parent account has been created, you will be able to start adding children to your family.

You can include a maximum of 10 children as part of a family account. Unlike a parent account, a child account may only belong to one family. An existing student account from your child’s school may be linked to a family account.

You can explore more about setting up elements of a child account in the guides below:

  • Create a new account for your child - This will create a new Sumdog account for your child. This option should be used if your child does not have an existing student account from their school.

  • Link your child’s school account to the family - This will link your child’s existing student account from a school to your family. This ensures each child will only need one account linked across both school and family, with all progress consolidated and saved within that account.

  • Link your child’s family account to their school - This option is recommended if your child has an existing account as part of your family, and you would like them to use this account at their school. This ensures each child will only need one account linked across both school and family, with all progress consolidated and saved within that account.

Note: Currently, we are not able to merge accounts on Sumdog. If your child has opened more than one account, it may be best to remove the unnecessary extra account in order to ensure your child is logging on, and saving progress in, the correct active account. You can find out how to delete an account here.

If you would like to remove a child account from the family, details can be found here.

If you do not want to key in their full name, you can use initials or a nickname.
