How can I use Sumdog for multiplication tables practice?

Sumdog is ideal for practising times tables, and makes them fun for your students.

There are several ways you can focus practice on multiplication tables:

Restrict Activities:

You can restrict your students to practise tables for an hour:

  1. Click the Set work link on the top of your teacher dashboard.
  2. Select 'Live controls' just underneath
  3. Click on Restrict in the Focus Work box
  4. You can now tick the activities you would like to restrict the student to.

For the next hour, your students will only be given questions on tables as they play.

Do note you make sure that you have also selected the correct class and subject. You can change the class and subject from the drop down list by clicking on the arrow next to the them.

Students Choose:

Students can also choose to focus on tables. Ask your students to do this during a lesson, or for homework.

To focus on tables:

  1. In their student dashboard, they should click the green 'Training' button.
  2. Click 'Tables'.
  3. They can then click the button underneath to choose which type of tables to focus on.
  4. Questions will be delivered for their level.
